You Are Here Because You Believe Birth Is About Making Mums Too.

Doula Interview with Ria Keller

As a Newborn Mother, you are being invited to reinvent yourself because when a baby is born so is a mother, and the birth of a mother can be more intense than childbirth. You'll learn how to find peace and joy in the first 40 days after birth and how your postpartum experience can change your life.

Ria Keller is a postpartum doula, chef, early years’ teacher and passionate cold-water swimmer. She is originally from Germany and now lives in Northern Ireland with her partner and her two sons. Ria works with mothers during the last stretch of their pregnancy, throughout postpartum and later stages of motherhood. She has a special interest in “Zwischen”, which is a German word for “in-between” and describes the time of a woman`s life where she is becoming a new self while simultaneously is being asked to let go of the old. Ria is offering mothers a deep holding, she is walking alongside them while they refine their sense of self and reconnect to their intuition and roots.

Ria Keller is originally from Germany and now lives in Northern Ireland with her partner and two sons. She started her postpartum business a few years ago but has since moved countries, had a baby and lived through a global pandemic. This has caused her to pivot to offering online postpartum support. We discuss cold water swimming, what it's like having a baby in two very different cultures and the German concept of Zwischen - a time in between.
